Right now I am on a supply run. Last night what happened was really good for my wife. The last several nights we rented a campsite since she is not into staying on the boat much. She can't swim and is scared to death of the water. But last night at the campsite there was a black and white visitor (skunk). She about went nuts. Climbing on top of me trying to get away from it, I thought I was gonna be hurt. After I took a piece of wood and hit it on the fire ring a couple of times, it went trotting off onto someone elses site. You could here the yelling at the different sites that it visited. I thought it was funny, however my wife didn't like it. So she starts packing up the sleeping gear and put it in the car. I asked "What are you doing?" She says "We are moving back down to the boat and going to anchor out in the water". I said "But you don't like doing that" She says at least out there I don't have to worry about the fish spraying me or going through our food and trash." I told her that was a good idea especially now that they are introducing coyote and black bear back in Ohio. So maybe I have her converted to 100% boating and forget the camping now. Just will miss the campfire, but I won't miss cutting the firewood. Just shows you that there is always a good thing that comes with boating. Maybe this tip will help those that have had the same problem with their wives.
