A friend of mine dropped this little guy off the other day. He wanted me to get it running for him. He wasn't sure what it was or knew anything about it. I can't find any id plate on it or nothing. Any clues? I can post more pics if need-be :)

Looks like a Johnson model TN. Model number will be on the port side of the engine block. It'll be something like TN-25, 26, 27 or 28. Early 1950s, 5 horsepower.

The TN-25 and 26 models will have the old style ignition and the TN-27 and 28 models will have the later style universal ignition, which is used on all twins and singles till about 1974. Other than that, all four models are pretty much the same. Pretty nice little motor there. :D

Yes you are correct! Thanks nwcove! Is there a manual available for this? I'd like to get this thing checked out.

Yea sammo is a great guy and is very nice to share these parts lists. He sent me one to an old HD-20 I'm restoring and one for an old 18 Evinrude.
