I have a 1974 135 HP Evinrude that is leaking oil from where the Upper and lower units connect. It's not gear lube and the lower unit is okay. I know that the unburnt 2 cycle oil should be coming out of the exhaust and also the weep holes, but there is a LOT more coming out than what I think should be. Any advice?
Also I keep fouling the plug on the same cylinder. Compression is good but the same plug keeps going. I am mixing 50:1 Timing/New idle jets???
And the last issue is a vibration at idle. It started after I got my lower unit rebuilt last year. as soon as I pick it up from idle it stops, but when I'm trolling at idle it shakes the entire boat. Any guesses on the cause of that would help too.
Thanks ALL!
