Looks to me like the adjuster knob under a captains chair. Just take the wingnut off.

Looks exactly like the knob to adjust the seat on my sea ray. I would check your seats for an empty hole, although I know Sundancers have a different seating arrangement than mine. Either way a good place to start.

One thing I can tell you is that the knoby thing not the bic :D
had the stud/threaded end break off, as there is only about 3 threads left.

It actually looks kind of familiar to me, but I haven't been on my '87 Sundancer in a month or two. It seems like it might be the adjustment knob that lets the driver seat cushion slide forward and backward, but I'm not sure. I'll probably be on it in a day or so and I'll take a look around.

On my tug that thing would be to adjust the helm seats.

I really can't say where it goes on yours.
