I found this prop on ebay, the seller says there are no numbers on it. It looks like a stainless steel prop. Any guesses on what the pitch is?
Thanks,prop blue.jpg

Re: Mystery prop ????

You do realize that you are asking a similar question as -- if it takes four men to screw in a light bulb, how cold is it out?

But, look at the prop. We can infer some things about it by the design. Notice how it has very little rake? notice how the blade root does not go all the way up the hub? Notice the rounded edges? These would be indications (not absolutes) that the pitch is low, not high. How much? without numbers, who knows? The blade profile looks like late Chrysler made by Michigan but the diffuser ring says Evinrude/Johnson to me.

Thanks, for looking. I know that it fits a johnyrude. I would guess 15 or 17 in pitch. Anyway I just posted it for conversation as much as anything else. If it goes cheap I'll buy it and let you know more when I get my hands on it.

Re: Mystery prop ????

The thinness of the blades and the spokes in the hub tend to make me think SSteel. I don't have any weights to judge. Anyway I let it go at $15.50, since I have no real idea what it is. I didn't need a dust collector that bad.

BTW, Frank, how cold is it? Haha
