Re: N fire at any plugs on 1990 johnson 200gt v6

Well. I spoke too soon, got it out the other day, started right up, but when I stepped on the gas...... nothing it was like it had no power, it wouldn.t even raise the front of the boat out of the water. It was not doing this before, it would alway run good when it was gettinf fire. It doesn't sound like its bogging down or nothing it just seems like it doesn't have any power. Any suggestions?

Still no word on the problem, been in shop for 2 days. This problem was not present before my timerbase went out and I took it to the repair shop were they put a new one on. I know they had to reset the timing after they replaced the timerbase and I think that this power lose prblem is becuase of something they failed to set properly. It cranks good and idles at around 1,000-1,100 rpm, but as soon as I put in in gear it drops to 500rpm and then dies. It did not do this previous to the reapir work, so I know it can't be the carbs. I was wondering if a mistake in setting the timming could cause this.
