Hey guys,
I was working on replacing the lower carb on a Yamaha 1990 130HP(130ETXD) and while the replacement of the carb went fine, I noticed a couple of worrysome things while I was in there.
When I took off the silencer, I noticed there were 2 thin hoses. I can clearly see that the top one connects to the oil reservoir. However, I have no clue where the bottom hose connects. A manual I'm looking at calls it the, "fuel recirculating hose"...strange name as it seems to be tied more to the oil side rather than the fuel side.
So..I searched the engine and found a connector(I think) with no mate low in the engine block. Below the lower carb(farther away from the transom). However, while investigating, I also found *another* connector(I think) with no mate between the top and lower carb(more forward towards the transom). In the latter case, there is a connector and hose right next to it, and it looks like it would fit and reach. The hose is about 3 or 4" long and if I were to connect it, it would just be a big "U".
As it stands, it would *seem* that the, "fuel recirculating hose" would go to the lower connector and the other connector should mate with the connector and hose next to it as the hoses/connections wouldn't reach if connected opposite....BUT, as I mentioned in the title, this is all new to me, so I want to make sure that's right. In fact, I'm not 100% sure those things I found are connectors...but they sure look like it.
I couldn't get a good pic of the connector below the lower carb, but I have attached a pic of the connector next to the other connector with hose. Note, the hoses don't seem to go on tight and I don't see any clamps or clamp marks on the hoses.

Thank you so much in advance!!
