Some people on I Boats have stated they think Nadaguides.com is not an accurate or good place to find prices and suggest checking on Craigslist.com

I would suggest you try both and see what price motors are selling for. Nada may have the book value but the real value of something is just what someone is willing to pay for it. Good Luck

NADA just gives you a idea as far as marine engines. It depends on condition really. 3k sounds kind of high for a 14 year old motor though.

I agree and if nada says 1.5k. I sure wouldn't pay anyone over 1.5k. You should even get it a little cheaper. If you decide print off the nada and take it with you to bargain for less than 1.5k. If your not comfortable with the final sale price. Leave your name and number with the seller and walk away and keep looking.

if you look at ebay those motors are going for around $1,000. smaller motor are going for more than the larger motors. also 99% the vro oil pump needs to be upgraded to the new pump. $350.00. or converted to premixed gas.
