Naden leak test - need advice on leaks

Finally got a chance to check the hull for leaks.

I was pretty happy that none of the leaks were gushers, a few loose rivets. One seam has me puzzled about the best way to repair it, there is no easy access to get a bucking bar to the inside of the hull. The manufacturer riveted in some aluminum skirts along both sides of the floor.

I'm not sure I want to drill out and replace all of those rivets! My thought is to clean the seal up good on the outside and try to force Gluvit in and then caulk over with 5200. After it cures, I would paint over that when I re-do the rest of the paint job.

Anyone have any better ideas?

You can re-rivet from the outside with closed end aluminum pop rivets.

Gluvit is applied from the inside and "creeps" before it dries. To get that seam under that skirt reach in and use gluvt have boat tipped on its side and leave it that way for 24 hours until dry. Then do the same for the other side.

totally agree with Bob, the reason it's there is so you don't have a hard joint between floor and hull.

Thanks Guys!

I'll do that next opportunity. I'm guessing I should brace the hull internally with 2x4's to keep it from damaging itself before I tip it on its side?
