Name that engine part 5.7 GIPMDA

I would like to learn what all the parts are in my engine compartment.....is there a place to go and get this ?
For now I will post some pics and ask
There are two of these on the engine I am thinking exhaust ? I have been reading about flappers in the exhaust and was wondering how I check these and see if the flaps are there or not and if this is even what this is

Start by looking at parts diagrams for your engine and drive....

Here is a sample; frequently, several engine models share the same components....you must find the ones for your particular engine...

Get your owners and operator manuals through the Volvo Penta web site here....plug in your engine info and download away...

If you CLICK HERE and put in your model number (No spaces) you can download the owners manuals free from Volvo.
