Okay, I know that some people have a name for their boats. I've never really thought about it, I just go fish.:) My wife thinks we need a name for our 21' toon. I suggested that we call it "The Floater". She doesen't like that because it sounds like a turd. :D So any help from your creative minds would be appreciated.;)

IMO you need to think of a name that means something to you. Just think of things you like or like to do & work from there.

Re: Naming your boat?

I agree with your wife and with mcgyver...... An example... my last boat before I retired was "Island Escape" because the wife and I would escape to it on the weekends after a rigorous work week. My first boat after retirement was Lake Escape because we could escape to the lake to unwind. My wife's name is 'Vassie' and I had always wanted to name a boat 'Sassie Vassie' but she refused until our last boat. I guess she mellowed in her old age because she let me name it 'Sassie Vassie'

ya, just keep it in the back of your mind and something will pop up that fits you and your life, naming a boat is very personal.

I was listening to the radio one day and a Bob Segar song came on and I had my boat name, CATMENDO, I catfish so it fit perfecly, now I want to go fishing every time I hear that song.

Better name that boat... Bad luck for it not to have a name...
Our boat's name is the Only Child.. We have no children  so we dump cash on the boat.. Cost about the same:p

Looney Toon!

What does CSP stand for?

You can never go wrong with having the wife's name in there somewhere.

Carol? Car-Toon!

Good Luck!

Decisions - decisions???? I like loony-toon. Puddle Pimp don't sound too bad either. I'm not too hard to please though. I'll run em past her. When we(she) decide(s), I'll let you know. CSP = Colorado State Patrol. The Floater is definetely out of contention. :D Thanks!

lol, lol Kind of has a ring to it! That's a sweeeet looking boat you have in you sig.

Thanks! "Stay Tooned" and don't "Toon Out" yet. While your at it "Playa Toon".

By the way, Sarge...old mariners never use "The" in their boat name, whether written or said, especially on the VHF radio.
