I just wanted to commend Nauticus. I know many here have already shared the great customer service they received, but I want to add mine also.
I broke my tab. I think I must have backed the boat into something when putting it in the garage. The strut was pulled loose from the attachment hole in the tab (hole #5), and there was a small crack visible. I reinstalled it and it worked fine as there is no stress in that direction.
I called Nauticus and explained the problem. The only questions he asked were to insure that I got the correct part. No issue even when I told him that I must have backed into something as that's the only way I could see it could have broken. I asked if I should just glue it as it worked on the water. That didn't seem like a good idea to him. I then asked if checking top speed with and without the tabs was the only real way to determine if the struts were too strong. Yes, it is. I mentioned that I was fairly sure that with just me it was probably too strong, but I'd try to run the test. After asking what boat I had the next lower sized struts are on there way. I said, well, since I won't be using the #5 hole no need to send the new tab.
They were going to send replacement parts even when I said that I must have broken it through ?abuse?. And the new struts are being sent without my even asking, He felt I might need them, so they are on their way. On top of a great company to work with their product actually does what they claim! How often do you find that?!?
