I was reading this thread http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=229170
with the diagram, however my switch has 6 terminals (3x2). The diode is connected to the two terminals next to the nav and anchor lights. The terminal between the diode has nothing on it. The Problem: In anchor position the anchor light is on, in nav position the bow light and gauge lights are on but no anchor light. How do I get the anchor light on in the nav position?

Where is the hot wire(12v) hooked to?
I think it should be on the terminal between the diode.

Do a drawing or post a photo of what you're talking about. Makes it much easier to understand... Your 6 terminal switch, 3x2, is that a double pole double throw with centre off, or is it a triple pole double throw? See what I mean.... As for the diode... it's connected where? between the throws or across them?

On a six terminal (DPDT) switch you don't need a diode. The switch is wired like this:

Awesome! Hooked up the wires just like in Silvertip's Diagram and everything works like it should. I can only assume that it never worked for the previous owner with that diode in there. Thanx for the help.
