Has anyone installed a Navman fuel flow sender in their boat, the type that connects to your GPS. I am unsure if I can put a fuel guage in my tank and need to keep track of fuel level. I have a 75 ltr plastic tank with no fittings for a sender unless i cut a hole in the tank, then have to screw it on and seal it some how. I could avoid this by using a flow sender which will help me keep track of fuel used, but not show fuel level and would have to be reset every time i refuel. any one got a better idea.

I have a Navman fuel monitor on my boat but it connects to the fuel flow monitor -- not the GPS. It must be installed as vertical as space permits. It must be shock isolated as it is sensitive. It must also be installed with a fuel filter before it. Any debris in the fuel will destroy the turbine.

I have the flow meters on my boat. I went with them because the fuel gauges were not accurate.
Mine is wired to my chartplotter and has worked fine to date.
