Need a good Torrent Client for PC

What would be your recommendation for a Torrent Client for my PC running XP?

A friend uses Tomato Torrent; but it's only available for the Mac.

I use Azureus. It is java based and runs excellently on any windows OS.

uTorrent...but not version 1.7.x.....version 1.6.1 is a good bet.

I wasn't trying to put you off or be a smart***** , it's just that most folks end up with with a BT client that works well for them. I prefer one's that aren't Java based and basically have a small footprint, resource wise. Setting up your router for port forwarding is a good move too and tweaking the settings to get optimal transfer rates.

I wouldn't waste my money putting it in a Ford, that's for sure. I'd just be relieved it would make it to the next oil change. Forget polyester, epoxy is the only thing that'll hold one together when it starts falling apart. Now when the bed rusts out, just repair it with some pressure treated plywood or marine grade if you want to do it right. Just don't spray gelcoat on it because you'll never get that to look right. I mean you could weld it, but I wouldn't bother unless I had $2500 to spend on a decent entry-level mig welder. I'd just save my money and buy some Miller Lite. Of course If you ran Linux you'd be smart enough that I wouldn't need to explain this to you in the first place. Now let me get out of here so I can see if the fish are biting. I'll be back later unless me and my Evinrude are delayed because we had to tow someone in running a Mercury. Then again if it's a Bayliner I might just pull the plug and let it sink. They make better fishing structure than boats anyway.

This was awesome. You really need to mention whether you think all Bayliners are junk though to really be complete

I use uTorrent and it works well.

Also, Linux is not over rated! It is just that most users over rate their computer knowledge and then have problems with Linux or they try a full GenToo install when they have never installed Windows before........... If you want to try Linux take a look at Ubuntu. It is a very easy linux OS and comes with a bootable CD.

Like it or not, Linux will be widely available on many new PC's in the future. Dell already sells PC's with Ubuntu Linux installed.

In fact, as an IT student, Linux is such a threat to Microsoft that it has been rumored that Microsoft may develop its OWN version of Linux in an attempt to jump on the Linux bandwagon.

Examine the look and feel of Vista.. Any Linux user will tell you they look and feel very close to the same..

Catch my drift?

Vista Business works great when you put it on a machine capable of running it properly, AND run SP1. I am on beta team for SP1...and even though it IS beta, it has helped immensely so far. BUT...there is always a BUT...BUT you ABSOLUTELY MUST disable the UAC..

I like Utorrent because the memory use is very small. Converted from Azureus and haven't looked back.

Works with some things DOESN'T with others.."smirk".....LOL....quite frankly even with the improvments its just not worth it to me at this point.
