Need a harness for PTT

I bought a used cmc PTT but it doesnt have the harness. its a 2 wire setup.

can i use a mercury harness, or any harness for that matter instead of spending the 100 for a CMC one?

My nissan didn't come with a remote switch for the power trim and we used a Mercury switch. Works fine but it wasn't allot cheaper than the $100. I'll have to look to see if it's only two wires though.
