Need a lower unit

I have a 1982 16' Citation with 120HP mercruiser. The gears in the lower unit got chewed up, took it apart and the whole thing looks ruined. Does anyone know where I could find a salvage boat that would have a lower unit that fits?

I don't really want to spend $1200 on a remanufactured part, when the boat is only worth $600.
