Need a new Prop?

Just got my 1989 Celebrity 182 4.3 l running this season with an engine rebuild. I have not pushed it above 4000 rpm but am only getting about 25 mph at that engine speed. My prop is a 14 x 19 pitch aluminum. Will I need to re-prop to get a little more speed? If so, what is recommended? THanks.

You should use whatever prop that will get you to the factory recommended WOT. In your case I believe it should be 4200-4600. See what you get out of your present prop @ WOT, and then look at the FAQ'S for more guidance......I think you will find that you need about 14x17...But that does depend on your specific boat.....JK
