Need a Nissan/Tohatsu Motor Cover

I need a motor cover or cowling for an 04 Nissan 9.9/15. I have looked arround the internet and not seen anything. Is there any other manufacturers that will fit such as Mercury or Honda? Also is there a good website to go to when looking for used outboard parts besides ebay? Thanks

Nissan/Tohatsu dealers seems not to stock this item, bought mine directly from the factory, only a unique model available, a bit big for my 18 horse. Iboats seems to offer only boat covers, check West Marine and Defender outboard covers also, order by engine size.

Paul, is that $ 332.95 for an engine cover , or it's a finger typing error, and it's only $ 32.95 ?

That's no misprint. That's the pricing for the upper cowl. It would be good to not lose the original one.

Sorry, deep language misrepresentation , does not need an engine cover, needs a engine cowl, the price wouldn't surprise me at all, know that 30 HP cowls are near $ 500.

Thanks anyway Sea Rider. The cowls are pricey for a piece of plastic. FYI a Mercury 04' 9.9 cover fits like a glove

Yes, and quite a bit more expensive than the Tohatsu-branded part. And, now you know the secret of the Merc 4-stroke 9.9... Made by Tohatsu

Yea, alot of the same things. Cant find a reasonable used Mercury cowl either.

Eventually, one of these durable Tohatsu motors will be worn out, and taken out of service. At that time, the used bits will be available. Until then, a new part is the only option I can offer.
