Hello All,<br />I need some help finding replacement points for my 55HP Chrysler (Model # 555 BC Serial # 2402). I orderd replacement point and received F12329-2 which I was told were replacements for the original F12329-1. Well these point are about as different as you can get and will not fit. Any advice on a number that will work would be greatly appreciated.

Do you know what year your motor is? The closest I can find is a 555BG. It also calls for the F12329-1 points. Have you tried bringing them to an autozone or a NAPA to see if they have a set that might work?

It's a '73 and it is definately 555 BC. It is Chrysler Canada Outboard LTD. and the Serial number is 2042 not 2402. Thanx. for the NAPA idea I'll try that. Should I just bring in the pionts and they'll match them up or do I need a number?

Try boatingsolutions.com for a reference. Don't know about their prices but, they do have good pics of the Chrysler points. I got some there last year with condensers and they work fine for me.

Re: Need a number for 55HP Points

According to my OEM year model guide your motor is a 1971 electric, Canadian built model. Lets try points set# F12044. When you ask Napa use #18-5149 (Point set) or 18-5013 (Tune-up kit). The kit includes 2ea point sets and condencers. The F12329-1 point are for models with magnapower electronic ignit. Now I am guessing a little here with this info. I do not have the parts manual for your exact model.
