Here is my rig sig. 1998 Parker 21 WA cuddy DV approx 4500lbs loaded, 150 Yami OB with stock 17M prop WOT 4900 rpm.
Stock prop is shot and looking at SS after market Props on ebay, Craigs list, and of course the entire WWW, including here. So without stepping on some toes, and bending a nose, let's hear some recomendations. ;)
I definately want a break away hub because I have some nasty rocks where I boat.
Tell me what you think of :
Solas
SaltWater Series Yami
Quicksilver
Turning point
I have heard nothing but BAD about anything else  without saying what brand.

If you have a lot of rocks you dont need stainless. Unless you want to replace the lowerunit. I like the turning point aluminum props. I am working with turning point to get the best prop on my bass rig. Bought one to try, turns out it wasnt the right one, they are shipping me another to try, $20 buck charge, but beats buying another outright and being stuck with it! Also sounds like you need less pitch..I think 4900 is a bit low. whats redline on that OB?

Something doesn't sound quite right. Are you sure the tach is right? You're about 800-900 rpms short of where you want to be. That would require going down to a 13" pitch which just doesn't sound right. Do you know what the accurate top speed is?

You bring up a good point, My friend has the same exact set up, and he is only topping at 5000 rpm as well:confused: I recall 40-42 MPH I'm going to see my Marine Mechanic today, and try to get some info. It's almost as if the 150 is minimal for these battleship Parker boats. I'll measure the Anti-plate/ keel thing too. Thanks for the input.

Ok, I looked at my shop manual, and my Yami C150 specs are as follows
Maximum output HP/RPM = 150 /5000 rpm and
Full throttle speed range = 4500 to 5500 rpm

Soooooooooo, I don't think I'm too far off with the right 17p prop, and back to my original question, any recomendations

I'd look at getting a Stiletto here at iboats and using their exchange program. The Stiletto grabs pretty well so you may be able to raise the motor some and gain efficiency from less drag.
