I purchased the original factory manual for my outboard. I am currently updating the wiring and adjustments for the remote control, etc.<br />The manual that I purchased does not address electric or controls except at the motor as if it has the throttle and steering handle. My boat is a 1979 Larson All American Runabout and this motor was added later so it was "spliced and diced" as someone else on this board said.<br />What manual would be useful for me? One that would include remote control and gauge wiring , etc. Kind of general as I intend to redo all the wiring in appropriate color, gauge, etc. For instance, it has an ignition switch with a light above it that is wired to the choke switch. Hate to mess with it as it appears to work fine. But it is rusting so eventually it will fail. I have no idea what the light is for other than to tell me it is running or so I can see the key in the dark? And the fuse panel is all spagetti with several wires just cut off and hanging. I have just disconnected most of it for safety, but now I have no running lights until I figure whats what. So, can anybody recommend a manual for my problems? I like to try to tackle these things for myself and have a general knowledge of electricity which is to be afraid of it.<br />Thanks in advance.
