14', Click the red "search" button at the top of this page, and look for "replacing floor", etc. You'll find everything you need to know about what plywood to use, etc.

Generally, though, you can just drill the rivets out with a 1/8" or 3/16" drill bit and go from there. Not a difficult job at all. If you're able to save the old pieces, use them as a pattern.

Good luck
Rick

On this boat, or mine which is a Starcraft Chieftain, can I screw the new floor down, glue it down with Liquid Nail (Marine) or do I have to rivet it down? We are actually leaving the old floor in place. Its not wet, rotted or in bad shape, just got 2 slight soft spots.

Why would you Leave an Extra Several Hundred Pounds of Useless Wood in your boat,..???...

If you're just going to Scab a new floor Over the old 1,..... Screws would work.....

If you're Replacing the Floor,..The Right Way.... Rivits are the Only option,..... Screws will loosen,... Rivits Won't......

Leaving it in due to removing the entire cabin, therefore changing balance. I used Advantech and glued it with Liquid Nail Outdoor glue and then used outdoor deck screws (about 8 per sheet). It doesn't stay in water, only for few hours per week and then is covered when not in use. Figure the floor and new console will outlast the hull and motor.
