Need advice on refinish

I have a 86 Skeeter Bass Boat sf175d it had a metalflake finish when it was new the pervious owner kept it out side and uncovered so now the finish on it is so bad that you can feel the metalflake with your hand.
My question is how can the finish be put back on, would it need to be regelcoated with a clear gelcoat if there is such a thing? any sugjestions would be appreciated.

Walt yes you can restore you boat to it orignal finish, with that said unless your a master tech with a deep knowledge of gel coat and a true artist along with a very stubborn streak .............say goodby to the do it yourself method or hire a pro for 3-4 thousand....8)

Been there done that, they want 7000.oo to do that job.

Then you already know the answer to you question........... Nope, but you could get ready for some labor intensive work and creativity and create your own style.........8)
