Need Advice

I am going through my old 1983 Merc 150 and replacing electronics with old and deteriorating wires. So far I've replaced switch boxes, stator, changed to an electric pump and changed one coil. My trigger checks good with an ohm meter and the wires appear to be in good condition. Since it is 21 years old, should I replace it anyway?

The trigger plate assembly is around 150 dollars. In my opinion if the one you have works I would not replace it.
