I have a 1977 MFG Gypsy Trihull
I have finished most of the removal of the old glass that was used on the sides of the old stringers. I have cut the new stringers and they look like they will fit pretty good. The old stringers were a single 3/4" plywood capped with a 3" piece of 3/8" plywood. The new stringers are 3 3/4" of plywood that are resin coated and sistered together with no cap and the outside top edge
I rounded over with a router bit.
The advise I need is do I need to put a down any fiber glass below the stringers to the hull or do I just use the PL adhesive to bed the stringers.
I also was a little aggresive with the grinder and nicked the hull pretty good in one small spot that will be under a stringer. I didn't get to the gel coat but took out more material than I wanted. I figured I would just patch with some glass mat and resin.
Thanks
Glynn
