Need carb help with a 1957 18hp Evinrude

got a 1957 18hp Evinrude model FDL-11. She starts and runs but koncks out at idle. what is the recommended setting for the low speed needle?

1.5 turns out from lightly seated as a starting point.

thanks, that and a new fuel line to the carb and she runs great. only wish I could tighten the tension on the throttle a little to hold it at speed desired

Take the tiller handle apart to make sure it's not over greased.

throttle or air/fuel mix? If the latter, tighten the needle jam nut(s) after setting to keep them from rattling loose.
