I am having a hard time coming up with a choke shaft and lever for my 1990 90 hp force model 906x90c. For some reason it has worn so bad that the reed plate moves freely and I have lost at least 10 mph and good use of my top carb.

The part that I need is "f10299 choke shaft and lever" and it is NLA. The last one listed at a parts dealer was sold in December.

Does anyone know anybody with an old parts engine they would sell it off of or does anyone have have another idea for me.

Thanks,
Michael

You mentioned "reed plate" Did you mean choke butterfly? I have lots of carbs. See my private message.

After I sent the PM, I remembered that those three cylinder engines will start quite nicely with just the top and bottom carbs choked. So you also have the option of removing the choke from the top carb and swapping in the good one from the middle. OR: As an alternative, swap carbs and just change the fuel fittings.

I had one that I swapped carbs from an early 5 cylinder 150 onto. The middle did not have a choke at all and the engine did not even notice it. Always started first turn.
