Thanks RRIT ! hooked up the pump buy the diagrams u posted and it worked !..anybody with this set up..theres not much to it.. the motor is just like a starter moter..mine would not work, took it apart and sanded the rust off the armuture and cleaned everything good, i believe if u needed it rebiult a starter shop could do it. and for the pump its self, nothing in there but some o-rings, spings and ball bearings and a coulple of gears..not much to go bad but the o-rings and i got new ones from ace hardware for 33 cents a peace. just clean it good, replace o-rings and it should work as long as everything is put where it should be. nothing to ajust. u should replace all the o-rings on moter and pump to keep everything dry.

yup, you have the eaton. best pump ever. I am an engineer by education. The simplicity and efficiency of the Eaton design is a work of art.

make sure your motor housing is waterproof or it won't last very long.

does the little ball go on the top of the spring? mine fell out when i took it apart. the ball was rusted and i think that might be why my trim will bleed off. mine looks just like the picture. thanks. could i buy another ball? pump works great just leaks down

ball on top of spring. should also have a cup to prevent ball from ruining the spring.

Re: need diagram for trim pump lines.

the orings are sae size standards. should be in stock at most hydraulic shops. bleed down is usually the one that goes between the halves. you'll need to use a pipe cleaner and clean all the little tunnels. some may be too small and need a sewing needle. I don't know where to get rubber that fits inside tip. try the briggs carb kit from other threads. oildyne makes the poppets but I don't think anywhere sells them.

Thanks again RRitt, got it back apart and will replace the o-rings. the part in the pic it the part i am concerned about, it is where i found the debris. all the other o-rings look great. all the ports and channels looks clean. Is there supposed to be more of a seal on top of this part in the pics?

Ok, put new seals in it and looks at the little valves under a magnifying glass and they look good. also air pressure tested them on the bench and they hold. got it all together and it still leaks down. just a thought it also goes up kinda slow and never found any parts in the pump that showed deterioration. But did find rubber debris in the pump. is it possible that one of the cylinders seals have come apart and that is what is causing the motor to leak back down?

Re: need diagram for trim pump lines.

ok finally figured it out. This one has a manifold on the pump that has four lines. One hole pressurizes the center small cylinder that is the trim, one that pressurizes the other cylinder that is the tilt and two that are the returns for both. The two returns are tided together in the manifold. The small center cylinder had a blown seal that let the tilt cylinder bleed back down. The pump worked great all along, I was just chasing the wrong problem. Thanks for all your help
