Need Evinrude Year and Info.

I have a Evinrude 70HP outboard that when I purchased I was informed it was a 1980. After reading up on Evinrudes I don't believe that is the case. The model # is 70573 B (yes there is a lot of spaces and then a B) and the Serial # is J0005693 T (again space and a T). Any help as to the year and any important info would be great as I am starting to have a little trouble with the motor and will need to purchase parts. Thanks.

It's a 1975. Having recently bought a boat & motor, I was very surprised that the sellers did not know what year their models were. I suspect the seller told you in good faith it was a 1980.
