Need expert help--I am lost...

Just bought a river place and need a boat for fun and fishing that can comfortably hold 7. My dealer has a used Grady White 20 ft 208 for $29,000. These seem to run about $48,000 new. There is about 70 hrs on a 2 stroke Yamaha.

Should I get this or go for a new boat in the 20 -23 ft size that does not have the high new cost of a GW? What brands do you like and $$?

Much appreciated.

Jeez, on a river I think you'd be better off with a pontoon. Rivers get awfully shallow and toons negotiate them a whole lot better than what you're considering. That's more of a lake boat.

Ditto on the deck boat if you plan on doing tubing and sking. The toon would be fine but slow.I think the Grady would sit pretty deep in the water.
