The fishfinder/depthfinder on my 19 foot Bayliner has recently quit working. I know there is power going to it, because when I turn it on, I can here a beep from the on button, the problem is there is no video, the screen shows nothing, like it is not coming on. Could this be a problem with the transducer, or only the actual device?

Also, my speedometer and tachometer both quit working, is it possible that there could be a connection?

The boat is a 1986 19' Bayliner Capri with a 1986 125 HP Force outboard. I do not know the model of the fishfinder or guages off hand, but will look if that info is needed. Thank You.

I doubt that there is a connection between your guages quitting and the sonar offering no display, Tommy, unless there is a basic wiring trouble.

Can't offer any thoughts on the sonar without make and model.

I think you may have blown a fuse for the guages and the depth finder. Are they all wired on the same fuse? Even if the transducer was bad most units will still have some digital data displayed. Check you Power.

The fishfinder is a Eagle Magna III fishfinderm and the speedometer states that it was manufactured by Thomas G Faria Corporation. Again, thanks for any help.

Your speedo should be be a vacum tube going through your transome.its probably plugged with snot along the way, usualy right at the pilot tube that hangs off your transome, or the tube came loose from the gauge.Possible problem with your ff, loose conection, or could be its set to turn off with low voltage setting that is too high, try putting a charger on slow charge (2 amp) for a couple of hours on your batteries, leave it hooked up and try to turn on your ff.Could be your battery is shot.

Jim
