Need fuel filter for 57 evinrude 18hp fastwin

Does anyone know where I can get a fuel filter for my 57 evinrude 18hp fastwin? The filter assembly mounts on the side of the block and has the glass bowl. Looking for the round cylinder type filter. Hopefully this is the last thing needed to fire this thing up and see if I can get it running after a carb and gas tank rebuild. Would it be safe to try without one just to see if I can get it started until I locate a filter?

Hey it's a vintage part you need, and they have. May be able to find it cheaper elsewhere if you look around.
