I had recently posted a question about my 1990 E120TLESB. The #2 cylinder had no compression. I pulled everything and ended up replacing the piston and having the cylinder honed. The other three cylinders looked good so I rebuilt all four carbs and installed new plugs. I put the muffs on the motor and started it and it fired right up.
However I have no water out of the tale tell.
I had purchased a water pump rebuild kit and so I dropped the gearcase and pulled the cover off of the impeller in order to rebuild it. The impeller would not come off. I could not pry it off.
There appears to be a slight amount of rust on the drive shaft where it meets the impeller. The impeller looked good and the housing showed minimal wear so I cleaned everything, replaced the seal ring and reassembled it all. Started the motor back up and still no water.
The #2-#4 head gets noticably hotter than the #1-#3 head, but they both are too hot to hold your hand on for more than a couple of seconds after about thirty seconds of running. I've pulled the thermostat housings on each head after running and there is no obvious water. Just a little steam. Am I missing something? Assuming that the old pump is working, what other things am I overlooking? Also, would the #2-#4 head be hotter because I installed the new piston in that head and haven't broken it in yet?
Sorry for the long post and thanks for your help.

Denny
(Frustrated in TN)
