Couple years ago I replaced my trim switches and then glued a new cover (item 5) on using PVC medium strength glue, or at least that is how I remember it. The switches never fit just right so today I used a heat gun and pocket knife and took the cover off.

Pulled switches and space (item 8) back out. Installed switches, then sprayed in some Foam in behind the switches. As it expanded I kept the switch in place, and removed excess. Once tacky, installed spacer and let sit for a few hours.

I go back and all is good, used pocket knife to scrape things up, then some regukar strength PVC adhesive. The two parts will not stay stuck. Read where the PVC glue needs to use the alchoal primer which I didn't use. That said I didn't use it the first time.

The parts do have some glue on them and I can do some more scraping or sanding, but maybe I should use something better, maybe JB plastic bonder or other.

I would use a JB weld plastic epoxy, that is good stuff, I have used it in the past and have never had it fail.

I have also read some really good reviews on the newer Gorilla Clear Glue.

Fixed Mother in laws sun glasses with JB 5 min Clear Weld epoxy. It stinks bad...but seems to be very good adhesive.

Picked the JB up and went to glue it on, but the PVC had it held pretty well, guess it took a while to setup for some reason. Did mix some up and put around the edges, looks good to go.

Thanks
