Need Help 1990 Evinrude 90HP V4

My buddy broke off the plastic elbow off the plate between the 2 bank's of cylinders that routes the water out of the motor.

He has tried to get this plastic piece out of this plate by heating it, trying to ream it out with a phillips screw driver and now with an extractor bit. We just broke the extractor bit off inside the plate.

Any suggestions???

Change the plate. You should have it off anyway. There isn't much room between that plate and the inner plate.

Stupid question. What is that plate??? Exhaust? If that plate comes off do all 15-20 bolts be torqued and will we need a new gasket???

The inner plate covers the exhaust chamber. The outer plate is the water jacket cover. You'll need both gaskets. No big deal really. If the bolts come out.
