need help 3 cyl 90 hp merc

it would be greatly appreciated if someone could help me out with some info on my 1994 stinger xL 120 JET DRIVE BOAT.I need to know the settings for the three air screws top carb is 1 1/2 the middle 2 and the bottom one is 2.Also the correct timing degree.how fast should this boat go .Right now it does roughly 30 mph on the speedometer.It seems a little sluggish to me. thanks a whole bunch.

Idle mixture screws should be set the same. 2 turns is probably too much. Usually 1 1/4 or therabouts. Max timing should be on a sticker on the flywheel cover or nearby. Boat speed sounds low to me too. Make sure you have good compression and good spark. If you have one, put a timing light on #1 plug wire. If it flashes alot off the degree scale let us know and I'll take you thru the possibilities. Don't want to muddy the water if it flashes regularly on the scale.
