I had posted about this a few weeks ago but there are some new deleopments and just want to start over. To paint the picture:
old owner takes the boat out with kids. after 2 hours of playing the engine stalls. after several attempts the engine starts and they go in to dock.
the next weekend they take it out to just run around and after about 30 min the engine stalls and they spend quite some time trying to get it started and and they do and take the boat back.
the clean the plugs up and spray out the carb and starts up. they get out 100 yards and the boat dies. it never has started again. this was early sept.
engine # 2989609
Today i got the merc book and am honestly overwhelmed. i have confirmed that the pump is pumping fuel. fuel is good. i also checked for spark by placing a screwdriver in a plug wire and holding to the plug. no ark when trying to start. the battery has a good charge and the engine is spinning good when trying to start. any ideas? im very budgeted and have less than 2 weeks to get this going. i dont want to spend all my dough fixing stuff til i get it right.
