Just purchased my first tri hull and the person whom sold it to me told me it has no leaks. I pulled carpet out to replace and found this. Can this be filled in with resin and fiberglass mat? Not looking to replace floor or open a can of worms for myself, I have never worked with fiberglass? If yes, what shall I fill it with? it appears to be just the floor board separated to fiberglass

Do you have any photos showing the damage?

Welcome to iBoats!

If you attempted to post pics they did not post. From your description of a rotted floor and wanting to repair it I must tell you that in most cases a soft and rotting floor is just a symptom and NOT the problem. Yes, you can repair the wet/rotting Floor/Deck but that will just cover up the problem and your boat could have serious DANGEROUS issues lurking below. If the substructure (Stringers, Bulkheads and Transom) are compromised (Wet and Rotting) and/or your boat has flotation foam and it's wet and saturated (which could add up to 5-6 hundred additional pounds of weight to your boat) these could all make your boat unsafe to operate. No one wants to "Open a Can of Worms" but no one wants to be out in the middle of the lake in an unsafe boat either. I'd highly recommend you do some major investigation into the PROBLEMS with your boat and not just fix the symptoms.
