need help again

bare with me, i'm new at this thread thing but i'm gettig the
hang of this slowly . on my 1982 mariner 50hp on the carbs the idle
mixture screw once they are all the way screwed in how many turns do
i back out . or does any one know of a on line repair manual i could
look at on line . thanks burtp.

Burt, I do not know the specx for your motor, however, Merc carbs idle mixture usually starts at 1-1/2 turns out from lightly seated. After the motor is started and warmed up, the screws are adjusted (usually a bit more out) to give a reasonable idle and good acceleration.
