Need help choosing

I am looking at several different Alum. bass boats. In each case they come with either 40, 50, or 60 hp Merc 4 strokes and in each case the boats are at or near Max hp rating and performance wise they are all very similar. My main concern is reliability. Just wondering if one of these powerplants has proved to be better in the long run than the others. These are all 16-17.5 alum boats by the way. I plan on this being my last ever boat purchase so thanks for any input!

Get the largest boat and motor combo that you can afford. You will run out of space fast so length of the boat is important along with on-board storage. I would also go with the largest motor because you can always throttle back for less speed when you have power and the extra power is good to have on hand for that run to the shoreline in case of a storm.
