I am restoring a Charger Bass Boat, and I need some help locating a certain kind of compartment door handle. I have looked high and low for these handles, and can't find them anywhere. The handles are kinda hard to explain, but I will do my best.

They are basically a 1" or 2" inch-wide piece of upholstery fabric that is looped to form the handle, and then screwed to the underside of the lid. the length of the handle is probably 6" - 8". Does anyone know what I'm talking about, and if so...where can I find them. The material is the same as the straps the hold boat seats down (with snaps). Thanks in advance for any help you can give. AC.

you could take a nylon tie down strap, cut it and make the loop, or you could get someone that sews to make you a strap out of vinyl. use a big washer and screw to mount to bottom of lid. tell the person sewing it is like making a belt.
