I recently bought a 1991 glastron with a volvo penta inboard/outboard motor. Well it needs a good tune up and i cant find plug wires for it i called two marinas, and napa no one can seem to help me. For starters if i had a part Number for wires would be a good start. Its a volvo penta 230a I/O. Thanks for any help you guys can give me

Re: Need help finding plug wires

I found them for my aq125a at rockauto.com for a crazy cheap price. They have pictures on their website so you can visually match them up before ordering. A '91 volvo 240 with a 2.3L has a Bosch wire set listed for $28.79 p#09231. Just look at the pic to double check the fit. I found that earlier models and parts seem to be found in boats so maybe check a year or two before '91 (this set lists that it fits 90-93).

Re: Need help finding plug wires

Go to rockauto.com part catalog> volvo > 1991> 240> 2.3l> Ignition> Spark plug wire set

There are several options and sets as low as $10. I'd opt for a name brand with a picture to verify, like the Bosch set for $30. Don't select the marine tab up top, use the auto parts listing instead.

Don pointed out the Seirra set, it'll work just right. But it's 100+ bucks.
