Need help guys. What kind of boat is this?

I just bought this boat last week. There is no identification on it at all. It sat in an old womans back yard in a carport for a long time. She sold it to a friend of mine and he had to move so I bought it off of him. It was way to good of a deal to pass up. I bought it and the trailer for 50 bucks!! Im going to put an engine on it and get it ready for next year. Probably will use it as a boat to get me to my fav. dive spots. I just would really like to know what year and model boat it is. Thanks guys.

I just put the car up on ebay yesterday if anyone is interested. ITs a 1948 plymouth special deluxe. And yes the boat doesnt have anything on it really but I like to restore old stuff, and I mean come on. The trailer by itself was worth more than 50 bucks. I'll post more pics when I get it done.

get the number of the bow, and see what the state has it registered as. does have a hull id number on the back right side. i doubt. looks to be from the 60' prior to hin's a 50 hp johnnyrude would be just the right touch for it.

to me. In fact, it looks so much like one that I think I'd get a vinyl logo made up for it.

Seriously, it looks like a pretty generic fiberglass v-hull from the 60s. I'm sure it has a maker's name, but who cares? It was cheap. It's all stripped out, so you can start from scratch with it.

Look for rot in the transom, though, and the floor, if it has a floor in it.

Fun project.

That looks like the same boat but mine has a different dash and doesnt have the bumps on the side like that one. ITs smooth on the sides. Also it does not have an hid number anywhere on it. maybe its a different year niagra? Keep looking you guys!!
