thanks for the info guys. <br /><br />I need an upper gearcase for this unit. I never had an I/O before and actually this one is my uncles so I def need some help ID the parts I need.<br /><br />heres the deal, I think it is the uppergear case, but here is where it is located, the part I need is inside the gear box that connects the motor once outside of the boat to the lower end. The gears inside that box have busted teeth and it looks as if a bearing seat or gear seat has bee damaged from some mishap. <br /><br />If someone could let me know exacly what that gearcase is called I would appericate it. Also can you readily get pieces for something this old? What else will match up with this system.<br /><br />I should also note that this eletric shift system.
