For those that have not been following my resto/rebuild, I and restoring a big bore late 80's looper. It is a bit of a frankinstien motor. I am finally coming up to starting it up for the first time and I am trying to confirm the jetting is correct for what I have done. Here is hopw it is going.

I would like to confirm the carb bodies are the right bore size needed for a 225 and that the jets are right size as well. To summerize the motor again, it is a 1990 big bore 225 block bored 0.030" over sized. It has 1987 complete ignition system. Everything else is stock.

Ok I have gone thru the carbs to help clairify things when I got home today after work and I'm more confused then ever. That is why I have post this thread. Here is number that are molded into the carb bodies;

Upper carb body 398743 all six carbs have the same numbers
Lower carb body 326832 all six carbs have the same numbers
Side aluminum plate has two numbers 398395 on two of them, 398393 on two of them and nothing on two of them.

I have looked up on the Evinrude parts site and the 1987 225tx carb assemblies listed are "carb asm, upper is 398393" and also listed is "carb asm, lwr 398395" listed as part numbers. But the Upper and lower numbers molded into the upper and lower carb bodies are not coming up on the evinrude parts site. So I suspect that the side plates possibly are not original to the carbs. The intake carb bore size is 1.985" diameter if that helps.

As to jetting the Evinrude site says these are the jet numbers.....

200tx(STD) lists 43,28,57d
200stl(XP) lists 14,48,74d
225tx(STD) lists 14,48, 62d

I have 14,50,62d in my carbs

So I do not burn up my motor breaking it in I would like to confirm the carb bodies are the right bore size needed for a 225 and that the jets are right. Any help would be greatful.
