I am current rebuilding a 1987 225 Evinrude outboard. Looking for help to try to identify where these wire go and what they do.
Just some information, I have disabled the VRO pump and I am running premix, also removed the fuel pressure sensor. Also I am removing the trim sensor in the mid section. Don't plan on having trim gage on dash. Don't know if the sensor is required to make the trim/tilt work. Just trying to save money where I can.
Here are the pics.

In this pic the I am pointing with a yellow arrow to a cut tan wire that exits the wire harness right at the VRO pump connection. It was previosly taped off. Don't know what it does or where is goes.

In this pic I am pointing first off with a yellow arrow to a tan'ish wire that exits the main wire harness under the trim/tilt relay box. It has a round screw lug end on it. Does this go to the connector for the fuel pressure sensor? The next wire I am pointing to with a purple arrow is also coming out of the main wire harness. I has a knife connector on it and it, it is also tan'ish. No idea where this one goes either. The last wires that I am pointing to with a red arrows come out of the trim/tilt relay box. They are black and have been cut and but connected before. No Idea where any of these go. They are not the trim motor wires. I have those in another connector.

Lastly I want to confirm that the purple wire coming out of the VRO connector that is quite long does indeed get screwed down up on the terminal strip on the back of the rectifier. That is where I mounted it for now.
Any help would be greatly appeciated. If you would like an overall view just check out my thread on the rebuild/resto of this motor.
Thanks
