need help identifying an old crysler outboard!

i picked 2 of these up for free, they apear to have never been ran, compression is like new and they are totaly complete minus the lower units, could someone plese tell me what they are, how many horse, what year ect? thanks, the model # is: 58021, and the serial is 4559. also does anyone know where i could find a lower unit for these? thanks

No luck with that model number. The first two digits are the Hp, but I know of no Chrysler 58s. The third digit finishes 196x. The last two digits are specific models.

The closest I can find is 50621 which is a 1966 50Hp. The gearcases for those are pretty common. 35Hp to 55Hp from the 60s thru the early 90s. Driveshaft lengths can be confusing however. There are longshafts and shortshafts, but I've seen an inch difference between different model gearcases. I haven't researched it, but I believe the older style with a pointy bullet uses a slightly shorter or longer driveshaft than those with more blunt noses.

thanks, hmm, they say, "industrial motor by.... chrysler outboard corp'
would that mean that they are not out boards, but some sort of industrial motors? they are very small, one cylinder 2 stroke motors so im sure they are not 50 horse,......?

I used to have a couple of Sno Runners. They were like motorcycle/snowmobile hybrids built by Chrysler. The motor was a 5Hp(?) 2-stroke built by Chrysler. The pair fit in the back of my Chevette with the front skis removed (just a pin). Try googling Sno Runner.
