Need help identifying year of motor

I have an older model Evinrude 6hp motor that I know is approximately a 1980-1982. Can someone please help my positively get the exact year on this? The model number is 6904E. I call this website and the woman could not locate the correct year but she suggested this forum. I am curious as to what the oil:gas ratio should be and also want to purchase a manual for this motor. Thank you for your help.

That's a 1979 Model ya have there...50:1 on the mix and a Factory Manual can be had at kencook.com or on Ebay...

Thank you sir...would you mind telling me how you determined the correct year? I have had a heck of a time. Also how did you come across the proper oil:gas ratio? Thank you again very much! d
