Need help IDing lower unit.

I have a '78 Johnson 25hp, it is white in color but the lower unit is dark green. A '78 is supposed to have a spline drive and this one has a pin drive. Any ideas what year the lower unit might be?

johnson change from green in 1956. and it would definately work on a 1978.
